Fall Trends at Fashion on Yonge

Next week, one of the most fun (and chic) events in our neighbourhood is back for another year – the Fashion on Yonge festival! Hosted by the Downtown Yonge BIA, this festival showcases clothing from shops all along Yonge Street in one night of fashion, music and food.

Fashion on Yonge is free to attend and gives people a taste of what’s to expect for the fall fashion season that will be arriving all too soon. Located not-so coincidentally behind the Eaton Centre in Trinity Square, clothing stores such as Hudson’s Bay, Mendocino, Gap, Maison Birks and more will be there showcasing their new fall threads. The actual fashion show is split into three categories: urban, vibe and chic. To give you an even better feel for the neighbourhood, food vendors from the area such as Duke of Richmond, Salad King and the St. Louis Bar & Grill will be in attendance too!

The event starts at 3pm, where there will be live music and the chance to get a behind the scenes look at the model styling before the show starts. You can hang out in their lounge or get a manicure at the nail bar on site too. Before and after the show, you’ll also have the chance to have a hair or makeup consultation from the stylists.
Downtown Yonge is holding a contest during the event where you have the chance to win a gift pack worth $1,500 to update your fall wardrobe, and all you have to do is post photos of you and your friends on their red carpet. So make sure you’re looking top notch that night!
This is only the second year the event has been running and we already can’t wait to see what they have in store this time around.
