Tips for Hosting the Holidays at Aura

One of the perks of living in a condo with great amenities is that it’s incredibly easy to host your friends and family for the holidays -- or any occasion really. In Aura we have our entire 5th floor dedicated to amenities that our owners and tenants can use all year round to entertain and keep the party out of their own space (bonus!).

If you’re having people over for the holidays this year or even next year, here are a few tips that will make hosting in our building easier and much more fun:

  1. Make use of our amenities! The 5th floor of our building has amazing party rooms which can seat a number of people both formally and informally, a games room and a private theatre if you need to really entertain them, and even access to our beautiful outdoor terrace (if it’s not too cold out).
  2. Don’t skimp on the food and drink! Our party room has an amazing kitchen space with a refrigerator, which makes food and drink prep and storage a breeze. Once everything is down in the party room, you don’t have to worry about running back and forth to your condo during your party. We suggest picking up a cute bar cart to manage all your cocktail options for the night - it’s easy to wheel down the hallway!
  3. Bring decorations! Even though our amenities are beautifully designed, they’re not decorated for a holiday celebration. We encourage you to bring in a few festive decorations of your own - some balloons, ornaments, etc. - including a condo-sized Christmas tree.
  4. Book ahead! The party rooms in Aura are popular, especially during the holidays. Be sure to plan in advance and make sure that the room is available for use.
  5. Respect the space and keep it clean! Don’t go overboard when inviting people. Although our party rooms are big, we want our tenants to be respectful of the space, ensure nothing gets broken, and that it’s in good shape for the next person using it. This means that cleaning up after yourself is a must! The good news is... the mess you’ll be cleaning up isn’t in your own place.
